Cassandra Harris

Cassandra Harris is a reporter with the Pittsburgh Media Partnership newsroom. In May 2026, she completed her bachelor's degree in digital journalism at Point Park University and has lived in the Pittsburgh area her whole life. During her undergrad, she was Editor-in-Chief of the student-run newspaper The Globe and was treasurer of the school's Chess Club. She has won a mark of excellence for in-depth reporting and was a Golden Quill finalist for student excellence in journalistic craft achievement- page layout/design and Feature Photo categories. Cassandra interned at the Pittsburgh Magazine, Pittsburgh Latino Magazine and The Homepage Newspaper. In her free time, Cassandra enjoys thrifting, crocheting, spending time with family and skiing.
