Law enforcement unions file grievance, records request after fatal Latrobe police shooting

Several law enforcement unions have raised concerns over Latrobe Police Chief Richard Bosco’s conduct following a fatal November shooting, calling for policy changes and the reinstatement of titles and duties for one Latrobe police union representative.

The unions have filed a records request, a grievance and publicly shared concerns after Latrobe police were called to assist state police in a Nov. 15, 2025, domestic dispute, where law enforcement shot and killed an armed 28-year-old Ryan Huinker in Derry Township.
